Adopt an Alpaca
Adopting an alpaca is a brilliant gift for someone who is animal-mad. Whether they know about alpacas or not doesn’t matter because this way, they can meet a different species, perhaps even overcome a fear or even just enjoy a bit of Therapacy.
All of our alpacas are up for adopting. An adoption lasts for a year and allows you to receive personal – and personalised – updates throughout the year and get to know your alpaca on a more personal level than by simply booking a walk.
We offer different levels for different budgets.
The Bee’s Knees
Our Gold-level adoption packages give you more choice and allow you to get more involved with your alpaca.
If you adopt one of our machos, you get:
- An alpaca fact sheet
- A certificate of adoption
- Two 7 x 5 inch printed photos of your chosen alpaca (one with full fleece and one sheared)
- A staple of fleece
- A photo keyring of your alpaca
- A birthday card from your alpaca
- A Christmas card from your alpaca (you’re welcome to send him one, too! – if you do, we’ll feature it on our Facebook Page)
- Two letters from your alpaca, telling you about his story, his adventures, his personality and quirks.
- To take him on a walk (subject to another alpaca being booked out at the same time – please see Walking Ts and Cs)
- For the aspiring scientists, an information pack about his fleece (with the latest test results, histogram and full explanation of everything) and his genealogy.
- 10% discount in our store (valid for the length of the adoption)
- A beautiful folder to store your adoption package safely.
